LLP
Loose Lamination
Problem
1
The
Problem
As announced last Friday, some quantities of PX Silver Shade FF film produced between the end of March and the beginning of April may show a defect that Impossible calls the Loose Lamination Problem (LLP). The LLP is caused by a post-production mutation of one of the new components, the so called "rail" which can cause the white side boarders of the white frame at the back of the picture to loosen. Of course our films pass hard tests during and immediately after production, but apparently the LLP mutation can start several days after production and therefore we can not exclude that affected films have been sold. If you have recently purchased PX Silver Shade FF film you may therefore have experienced some of the following problems:
1A "Light" Effect
Loose white stripes on the back of your pictures
1B "Leakage" Effect
Developer paste emerging from the loose frames causing "Leakage"
2
The Impossible
Exculpation
First and foremost Impossible honestly wants to apologize for this mistake and any inconveniences it may have caused. From the very beginning we informed you that it will be a thrilling analog adventure to use our new Silver Shade materials. Nevertheless it is important for us to provide you with the very best material we can produce in our factory, as you shall never lose the fun in exploring the new generation of instant photography. PX films showing the LLP are clearly not the best we can do. We promise to do our very best to learn from this mistake and to make you forget this setback asap.

The
Possible Solution
If you can forgive us and if you maybe have already started to like your handicapped images, please be informed that with ordinary strips of tape the LLP can easily be cured without affecting the overall performance and lifespan of your beloved Silver Shade artwork. Furthermore - as we always try to make the best of everything - we may dare telling you that LLP pictures are more than suitable and supportive for the legendary image lift technique and many other creative manipulation possibilities.
